Baked Brown Sugar Bacon Chicken Tenders
These chicken tenders bake under a brown sugar and paprika coating that caramelizes in the oven, with crispy bacon pieces on top. They are simple to prepare and popular with both kids and adults, whether for dinner or as a party appetizer.

Preparation Steps
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and grease it lightly.
Stir together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
Pat the chicken tenders dry and arrange them on the baking sheet with a little space between each one.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the chicken, pressing it on so the tops and sides are well coated.
Scatter the crumbled bacon evenly over the tenders.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the coating is bubbling and caramelized and the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest piece.
Let them rest on the pan for 3 minutes so the glaze sets, then serve.
Tips & Variations
- Lining the pan with foil makes cleanup easy, since the brown sugar melts and caramelizes onto the tray.
- Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder to the rub for a sweet and spicy version.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer until steaming hot.
