Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Panko Shrimp
These shrimp get a crunchy coating of panko, Parmesan and spices and cook in minutes in the air fryer, so you get the crispness of fried shrimp without a pot of oil. Serve them as an appetizer with dipping sauce or as a main with salad or fries.

Preparation Steps
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels so the coating sticks.
Set up three shallow bowls: one with the flour, one with the beaten eggs, and one with the panko, Parmesan, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper mixed together.
Coat each shrimp lightly in flour and shake off the excess, dip it in the egg, then press it into the panko mixture until well covered. Place on a plate.
Heat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 to 5 minutes and lightly spray the basket.
Arrange the shrimp in a single layer without overlapping, working in batches, and mist the tops with cooking spray.
Air fry for about 8 minutes, turning halfway, until the coating is golden and crisp and the shrimp are pink and opaque in the center.
Sprinkle with chives and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips & Variations
- Do not crowd the basket; air needs to circulate around each shrimp for an even crunch.
- Add a pinch of cayenne or lemon zest to the panko mixture, or use the same method for strips of white fish.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days and re-crisp in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 4 minutes until hot throughout.
