Loaded Cheese Fries with Bacon and Sour Cream
Loaded fries turn a simple bag of frozen fries into a shareable snack with melted cheddar, salty bacon and a cool, creamy drizzle. They are perfect for game nights, parties or as an indulgent side with burgers.

Preparation Steps
Bake the fries on a large sheet pan according to the package directions, usually at about 425°F (220°C), turning once, until golden and crisp. If making homemade fries, fry or bake them until crisp.
Season the hot fries lightly with salt and pepper and pile them closer together in the center of the pan or in an ovenproof dish.
Scatter the cheddar evenly over the fries and return them to the oven for about 5 minutes, until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.
Sprinkle the bacon over the cheese while it is still hot.
Drizzle with sour cream or ranch, top with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Tips & Variations
- Spread the fries out in a single layer while baking; crowded fries steam and go soft.
- Add sliced green onions, jalapeños or a spoonful of chili for a heartier version.
- Loaded fries are best eaten fresh. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer until steaming.
