Baked Salmon with Roasted Potatoes and Cheesy Asparagus
This sheet pan dinner pairs spiced salmon with crispy roasted baby potatoes and tender asparagus topped with melted cheese. The potatoes get a head start, then everything finishes together, so cleanup is easy. It is a complete, balanced meal for a weeknight or a relaxed weekend dinner.

Preparation Steps
Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
Toss the potatoes with the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, rosemary, salt and pepper. Spread them cut side down on one half of the sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, stir together the olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, pepper and dried parsley. Pat the salmon dry and brush the mixture over the top and sides.
Toss the asparagus with the olive oil, salt and pepper.
Take out the pan, flip the potatoes and push them to one side. Add the salmon and asparagus to the empty space.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily and reaches 145°F (63°C) in the thickest part and the potatoes are tender.
Scatter the cheese over the asparagus and return the pan to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes, until it melts. Sprinkle the potatoes with fresh parsley and serve.
Tips & Variations
- Cut the potatoes into even halves so they cook at the same speed and get crisp on the cut side.
- Green beans or broccoli florets can replace the asparagus; they need the same roasting time.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days. Reheat at 300°F (150°C) until just steaming so the salmon does not dry out.
